Hi there. I am Naples.
Given my name I could live in Italy, California, New York or Idaho. However I have chosen to spread my wings in Florida. And so I plopped down pretty far south on the Gulf Coast (west side of Florida) beside these really cool white sand beaches. I've been here since the late 1880s when my buddies John Stuart Williamms, a Kentucky US Senator, and Walter N. Haldeman, the publisher of the Louisville Courier Journal suggested this spot for me.
Despite my age, I was a late bloomer. I didn't really get going in earnest under the 1960s and I'll tell you that story later as I fill in the details of my existence. Now I know people say the "past is the past" and maybe you don't want to know the "good" and the "bad" of that, but I happen to think disclosure is a good thing. It's all about us developing a good, knowledgeable relationship and hopefully a "life long" friendship. That way when good things happen, you will know where I came from and how I evolved; and why things happen as they do. And then hopefully together we will look into the future.
With the internet continuing to be the "in" thing, I've been persuaded by my Realtor friend Marlene Graham of Tropics Real Estate, aka www.TheMostInterestingWomanInTheWorld.com (Is she a hoot or what!) to share my day to day on-line with a blog. So each week, you will learn what I am up to -- my events, my thoughts, little experential snippets, might even share some of the bad moments. The newspaper here keeps good track of me as well and so sometimes I will use their information to keep you up on my happenings. And let me tell you; I am always up to something.

So yesterday was a busy day. I had an event called the Taste of Collier at Bayfront, a shopping and condo area on the north side of the Gordon River Bridge.
